Duchess Marden Damascena Creme Cleanser

I briefly touched on the Duchess Marden Damascena Creme Cleanser in an earlier post but I wanted to dedicate an entire post to this delicious product.

I've been using it for several weeks and really, really enjoy it. I use it to remove my makeup in the evening ( after first massaging with jojoba oil to break down all the grime from my day) and in the morning on days when I don't exfoliate.

The creme cleanser has the texture of melted vanilla ice cream: soft and creamy and not too thick or heavy and no matter how tired I am I always find myself deeply inhaling at the first whiff of the elegant rose aroma.

I also love all the many emotional benefits that are to be found by using products containing high-quality damascena rose oil, especially for women:

(from www.organicfacts.net)
Rose Oil boosts self esteem, confidence, hope and mental strength and efficiently fights depression. This can be very helpful to drive away depression from those who are suffering from depression due to any reason. This also relieves anxiety. Being an anti depressant, patients of acute depression or who are undergoing rehabilitation can be given routine and regular doses of this essential oil to bring hope in their lives. This oil is widely used in aromatherapy and invokes positive thoughts, spiritualism and feelings of joy, happiness and hope.

hi, i stumbled across your website and i love it. you're very informative and as someone newly converting to holistic skincare, it has been great reading your blog. i have been using DH for almost 3 months now and find that my skin is still congested. i'd like to try the durchess marden products, but unfortunately since i just spent $$$ on DH, i feel as though i should atleast finish up what i bought before i move on to new products. i was wondering now that you found this new line though if you think it is better than DH? do you find that you're just using duchess marden now? thanks for your answer!

Hey Jen! This cleanser sounds AMAZING. Question though: Because I have fairly thick, oily skin, I've always been leery about using cream cleansers. But I recently got a sample of Evan Healy's Blue Lavender Cleansing Cream and it was wonderful. Thinking of buying it but do cream cleansers ever break you out?

P.S. I'm addicted to the smell of rose oil, too:

Hey there,
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Great Blog!! I personally loved your
pics .... Must admit you have a great sense of style. Keep up the good
work.I have enjoyed reading your blog and thought of dropping in a word …
PS: I have initiated an idea to create a fashion and style blogroll where
bloggers from the jewelry, fashion, style and beauty could participate.
All you need to do is to add my blog link to your blog and i'll do the
same.
That way, we could have a mutual partnership and we could refer visitors to
each other's blog.
Please let me know if you would be interested.

Thanks!
